I would like to learn Spanish. Can anybody recomend any of the CD based language learning programs? I know there are a number of them out there but
have no idea which would be best.

Check with your local library. Rosetta Stone offers an online version free with a library card. Might not be possible in AK but stranger things have
happened.

Rocket Spanish is reaonably priced and a pretty good program.

If you have an iPod, there are free podcasts that you can download. I just discovered this and have been listening to an intermediate version. I
don't have enough listening time to be able to recommend one over another, but you could give one a try with nothing to loose.

I checked with the library and signed up for the free Roseta Stone class online, thanks for the idea David.

De nada.
Does Santa speak Spanish?

I like Pimsleur.
Many people recommend their approach. They emphasize learning oral Spanish first, before written Spanish.
