have you as a nomad regular yakker on these forums been materially affected good or bad by anything at Loreto Bay?:?:
and i mean it has harmed or helped you in some manner that's substantive and can be measured in $$$$$ not emotions. :wow:And open to buyers there or not. USA citizens, Mexicans or duallys.:saint:

capt. mike Thanks for the poll. My vote is in. Haven't bought, don't plan on buying, can't afford to anyway, but if anybody has the $$$, it's their decision. They might have the last laugh or maybe not.

We all have that certain devel. I usually leave mine at home when I go to Baja but I'll vote for that one.:saint:

I will not vote...not dumb enough to put $$$$ in an impossible scam.

I read it that way the first time....but me thinks "devel" is Mike's own personal abbreviation for development:lol: So you don't need to leave it home next trip Sharksbaja!!:bounce:

Sharksbaja - 10-3-2007 at 11:46 PM

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Nope, I definitely need to bring development along. Our home is still a quite a mess. :( The devil did it!

ha. fun stuff. thx for the participation.

ok - since i live about 5 miles from LB's corp office in Snottsdale, i am going to swing by there and....
1. see if the doors are open :o and if so
2. go in and ask about the project as if "i know nothing!"...as Schultz used to lament.

we'll see what they have to say and i'll report here. might be interesting.

vandenberg - 10-4-2007 at 08:07 AM

And they're going to tell you the truth ,right.:?::?:
They'll probably look you over and try to sell you a custom home. Make sure to wear your goggles so they know you're a rich plane owner.:P:P

I can appreciate your question but the responses do not jive with this. Can I personally measure in $$$ how LB has affected me personally? yes and no.

I think in the beginning we were very positively affected as was every single property owner in this area, but I would have never considered buying or even putting a surcusal for my business there. In doing direct business with them, with the exception of the hotel, we broke even due to situations in procuring payment for services rendered. Others in my industry went unpaid but I am persistent so didn't allow it to happen although it was scary for awhile. yes we have benefitted with the attention drawn to Loreto because of their marketing and with the new airlines that decided to provide service here but in looking at our numbers we've grown steadily throughout the years and I can only attribute that to experience and reputation.

I will be curious to hear about your interview with them, but keep in mind that it is in the nature of those in the real estate business to report only the positive side of things. Also this is not like reposessing a car where one can drive it away or the forclosure of one home with one owner in the USA so they certainly can't just shut their doors as it would be bad for citigroup's reputation since they are the new handler of this.
