baja wall maps

woody with a view - 10-5-2007 at 03:23 PM

i've been looking around and all i can find are the ones from discover baja. the problem with theirs is that they aren't in color. anyone have a foto of the "breyer baja map" or the "mcmahan baja map" so i can compare the colors?

or any other colorful maps that don't take up an entire wall (i don't have that much room!)

How about a roadmap from your place to Adelitas in living color?

Woody, after Discover Baja... try Map Centre in San Diego... They are distributed by Mike McMahan's son-in-law, Chuck Potter (Baja Source Publications)... The problem is that Chuck lives in East Cape and has no (or very little) outside connections to get more...

This map image is off the back of Mike' book, but is the same as the big map (which is in my living room, above the fire place)...

Woody
Check our my website.
We now have Sat maps for all of Baja. One is the entire peninsula and is very beautiful. The quality is excellent!

If you would like a "topo" style map. Galen at QEI publishing made a very nice one for aviation. It shows roads etc. too
It is called GH-22

"Satellite Man" hasn't posted here in a long time, but his web site is http://www.satprints.com I have several of his satellite Baja maps on my walls... They are outstanding!

Go to the 'Baja Collection' link and find 4 pages full of Baja posters... Here are links to just two of the full peninsula posters:

I just bought a nice map in color for roughly $8 at the book store in Soler (in Tijuana) Memorial Day weekend. Next time I go, I should pick some extras up and sell them for $50 each on Ebay! :bounce:

hey Cap - any ETA on your latest adventure report?
been checkin in at the Cboyz site every week.

and after being in Cabo last Sat on a baja mil pre run adventure (story at baja.net) i now have decided i like Cabo again and it DOES NOT suck!!

there's just other excess blowage all around it so it seems to suck.
but it doesn't. really. :light:
