I saw at one of the checkpoints a while ago a number to call if a tourist is in trouble or is being hasseled by police. Kind of like 911 - I think is
was 811 - does anyone know? Has anyone used it? After being stopped again for nothing and the cop wanting money I think I would have tried it right
then and there - stupidly I didn't write it down - thanks in advance for any info -

078 is the tourist assistance hotline and can serve as an emergency number also, 7/24. 066 is the general emergency phone number but I can't say it's
manned by bilingual staff.
