Can anyone tell me, is the Gasolinaria (Pemex) in Guadaloupe on Mex 3 open? I ask this as when we last past this way it was closed and roped off and a
local told us that it was closed permanently. I doubted this was true but don't know. I allways fill up there with diesel both south and northbound.
We will be passing that way soon and would like to know. Thanks for any advice. Cesar

Never depend on any Pemex being open or closed.

Thanks for the "help". I never depend on any Mexican Gas station being open and always carry spare fuel and have sufficient range to reach several
stations beyond. My question is: Is the Guadaloupe Pemex station open for business usually or is it closed permanently. Is it a usually active station
or has it permanently been removed as an active station, as the local told us?

El Norte, sorry it is taking so long for you to get the answer here! I have filled up at the station at the entrance to GUADALUPE/ FRANCISCO ZARCO
and it was open the LAST time I went by... Problem is that I have not been by that way since May (I think)...

Dang,
We were just by there heading north and didn't pay any attention. --bought gas at the fancy new one, a cualli one, on the edge of Tecate.

If the Guadalupe one is open, then the price would be a lot cheaper than in Tecate (where prices are matched to U.S. side prices)... as gas in San
Diego nears $3/ gallon and south of 20 km. from the border it is closer to $2.40 something.

Thanks David, It was end March that a local told me it was closed permanently so your May experience is just the confirmation I was hoping for as I
couldn't believe what I was told. Thanks again.

El Norte, I would be more comfortable if another Nomad came forward and could confirm it from a recent observation... In any case, it is only about
20-30 more miles to/ from the Ensenada area Pemex stations if it is closed.

It might be open,
But.. does it have gas?

somehow only David K understood my question. I know that there is no one that can tell me if the station has fuel or not. My question was; is the
station operational or not. It seems that it is. I know from experience at the Los Barriles Pemex, that operational does not necessarily mean that
there is fuel available. In Los Barriles it is 50 - 50. There are no guarantees in Mexico and thats fine by me!
