Hi everyone,
Been looking but couldn't find the answer so please help!!!
I am driving from northern British Columbia in apx. 3 weeks. Plan is to cross at Tecate to avoid Tijuana craziness and corruption. I will get a
tourist visa there and then head for the Cape but then this is where it gets complicated...
I promised to fly back to Canada for a short visit at Christmas... am I able to exit and re-enter Baja on a tourist visa? The car will be parked over
Xmas at a friend's so will I need special paperwork to confirm that I am not abandoning it? I return on the plane early Jan. and won't drive north til
end of March. Can I do this on a tourist visa?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Nicole.

You'll be required to surrender your visa at the airport and obtain another when you fly back. Technically, a tourist isn't allowed to leave personal
property but If it's a friend and they're willing to assume responsibility then I wouldn't worry about leaving the vehicle. Make sure it's properly
insured.
The second visa can be used for your trip north. Make sure that it won't expire before you exit the country.
