Does anyone know the availability of rental pangas in Gonzaga Bay. Is it a hit or miss kinda of thing or do they have a organized fleet of some kind.
Thanks

Sorry big hat but nothing is organized in baja. There are pangas for rent in gonzaga. Yes it is more hit and miss than most areas. The farther away
you get from a reliable source for fuel and parts the more unreliable the services become. So drive or fly on in and see what is available. At least
you can always catch enough fish from shore for a feast of fish tacos. fishin rich

Hey fishinrich - my wife and I plan to do some shore fishing around Bahia Concepcion during the last two weeks of April and possibly some shore
fishing in Bahia de LA near Camp Gecko. What do you recommend for bait and lures? I would think that frozen squid would work. How would you rig
your line for the squid? Not sure about the lures. We have not had much luck shore fishing anywhere in Baja. Only catching those grunting ugly
brown fish that could poison you to death. However, a Mexican fishing next to me cleaned it up and said it was really good eathing, but I'm not
taking that chance.
Any shore fishing advice would be great.
Gracias,

Bob! If you bring your own bait then all you will need are some sinkers and hooks. Attach sinker to end of line, go up a few feet and make a loop
to slip the hook through and bait it----your fishin. Any cheap plastic flutter tail type lead head lures will work great. Buy the cheapest you can
find as the fish will tear them to shreds instantly. After you catch your first fish, fittette it and cut it into small chuncks, The hungry banditos
have a hard time stealing spotted bay bass hide. Any small shiney metal lure will work for casting. If the fish are there it just does not matter
what brand you throw at them. When in LA bay fish right at the point of the light house, if the tide is right you will have enough fish for dinner in
30 mnts. fishin rich
