We are being invaded by clouds of beetles (?). Never recall seeing these in previous years. Does anybody know what they are? They are decimating my
garden. Pic attached doesn't have anything for reference but they are between 1 and 2 inches long, have ruby red heads, and some have red under their
wings near the tail end.

What region are you in?

Talked to an entomologist friend of mine and he was pretty certain they were blister beetles from the family meloidae. That should give you a start
for more research. Good luck with the garden!

ursidae69, thank you, I did some googling and they do indeed look like some of the Coleoptera Meloidae although I couldn't find a picture of this
particular one.
Anon, I'm near San Felipe.

Hello Sheila (Harleylady)
Is Buckley having fun with the beetles ?
Hey!
HarleyLady - 3-19-2004 at 10:01 AM
Good ta see ya, Les! Buckley would rather chase dust devils than beetles!
Are you on the road yet? Sorry we're gonna miss you this trip but looking forward to seeing you in May!

We were in Bola last week. But we don't bring our bikes down. Looks like you stayed at Del Sol? We were in room 3. There was a Harley and a Goldwing
there last week, I think they were from Arkansas if I recall correctly.

Leaving for La Bahia Sunday or Monday. I'll be there 10 days. See you in Oklahoma. Hey, Capt Mike looks a bit like Harold doesn't he ?
