How does one attain a higher status than a "newbie"? is it time oriented or post, post ,post.

rhintransit - 10-21-2007 at 09:32 PM

it's number of posts. by tonight's count, looks like you are working hard on it. you'll get there.

castaway$ - 10-21-2007 at 09:39 PM

Just having fun and Baja dreamin.

rhintransit - 10-21-2007 at 09:44 PM

castaway$ - 10-21-2007 at 09:46 PM

I just don't like the sound of "newbie", I want to be a Nomad, and yes another under my belt and I'm on my way.

Welcome to Baja Nomad... The people here are mostly great, they are appreciative of contributions and your own trip reports to share what you have found to be of interest in Baja! Don't let the few who may throw eggs chase you away!

Paula - 10-21-2007 at 10:50 PM

I think I need to work on my post count. I'd much rather be super than senior!!

Paulina - 10-21-2007 at 11:03 PM

Paula,
Me too.

DK, if you got a nickel for every time you posted, you would have $643.00.

Debra - 10-22-2007 at 05:17 AM

Never figured out the lure of the "status thing" (Although it's talked about here alot) Everytime it's brought up and I take a look and I see my Nomad count goes to a new level, I figure that I must be talking too much, I just looked and I'm "Ultra Nomad" whatever that means..........and in just 5 years!

Hey Doug? What happens after 10?, hope my computer won't explode! :o

Oh, forgot to add.........it also might mean that I'm not using my time as I should :?:

Big numbers are indicative of three things:

1. Need for attention
2. Free time
3. Cold Pacifico on hand

I'd run this into three pages with pictures but, it's a bit early for number 3.
Maybe later.

David K - 10-22-2007 at 12:44 PM

Well, I don't watch much TV as I find Baja more interesting... unlike TV, this is a 2 way interaction with other Baja nuts.:yes:

shari - 10-22-2007 at 01:42 PM

HOla castaway$, how about an introduction??? (good excuse for another post too) welcome amigo...you are in for a lot of fun on this board, it's addictive! great info, a bit silly sometimes, a bit scary sometimes, but always entertaining.

No. Not now. This lousy weather requires mass quantities of Pacifico.

Paulina - 10-22-2007 at 03:03 PM

Good. I was starting to worry about you...

castaway$ - 10-22-2007 at 06:38 PM

Thanks for the welcome Shari, I have been watching the posts for several months and decided to jump on the band wagon and join in. So far there seems to be an interesting mix of "regulars" with lots of opinions. On your posts I noticed you seem to be the main person that posts about Bahia Asuncion, I have checked out your website and it looks very interesting, on our next trip down I really would like to spend some time in Asuncion and get a feel for the area.
