Gearing up for Dia de Muertos / Halloween, we will be talking on tomorrow's show (Oct 25th) about the diferent myths and legends of Baja California,
stories like La Mano Peluda, La Llorona and more so tune in 6PM Pacific.Minnow - 10-24-2007 at 07:29 PM
How about the one where the whales have a route from Ojos de lebre, under baja to bola.Minnow - 10-24-2007 at 07:30 PM
Steve Meling also showed me a cave on punta banda that the Japanese used in WWII.DENNIS - 10-24-2007 at 07:38 PM
I've seen that cave if it's out on the east side of the point. Rumor I got was it was used by US coast watchers. I wonder what Art Bell would have
to say about this.Minnow - 10-24-2007 at 07:50 PM
Yep, obviously hand dug. Easy/ secure access from a boat.
I'm bummed, I missed the show tonight.

I thought La Llorona was a Mexican (vs Baja) story?Oso - 10-24-2007 at 08:56 PM
It seems to move around a lot. I always thought it originated in Oaxaca, but there's even a local Yuma version that has a woman drowning her children
in one of the local canals (that didn't exist before the dams on the Colorado)David K - 10-24-2007 at 10:33 PM
Gee, I was thinking of lost missions and Spanish gold when I read the title of this thread!fdt - 10-25-2007 at 06:00 PM
