I don't know if this is old news, but Loreto was featured on Travelscope tonight, aired on the KLCS PBS station in LA.
The narrator talked about the agressive development in a very low key way, then switched to featuring the natural beauty of the area and the efforts
to preserve the ecology.
Without knowing anything about the area, I would say the feature was structured as a "visit as an ecotourist" and not a real estate infomercial.

Our Direct TV subscription includes the Los Angeles local channels.
I will check out the program and post more info on it.
