FM-3: $1,038.00 pesos for an FM-3/ rentista without working papers;

FM-3 with working papers $1,685.00 pesos;

If you want one of the local businesses to do the paperwork for you, the going rate has now jumped to $235 dollars.(2/07)

Just payed 290 for a renewal in Punta Banda. All running around including stateside requirements. Only took two weeks.

Well I am off base again...thought you had to have a FM2 to work and so many years.:?: What are the rules:?:

You can get an FM3 "lucrativo" to work or run a business with no waiting period.
I'm not sure what else you get with an FM2.

If I wanted to open a small shop to teach woodworking, what would I have to do/need to qualify. Not a full time business...

Is that $235 in addition to the FM3 fee or including it?

We just renewed ours. For the 2 of us the fee to the Government was $2344 pesos; the fee to person who did if for us, $125 USD which included document translation and a change of address for our FM3.

And we understand that an Apostille is no longer required (at least in Ensenada).
