End of an Ice Age...

Paulina - 10-31-2007 at 04:46 PM

Nothing to do with Al Gore, but Santa Claus has won the peace prize in our house today.

DHL delivered a big box to our front gate as we don't have a chimney aka Santa style.

Inside the box was a new Fridge Freeze. We will never have to buy a bag of ice again.

Thanks Santa!

Feel free to stop by for a cold cervesa at any time. It can hold 118 cans of liquid refreshment at 33 degrees. No more hot beer or melted bloody ice water contaminating our foodstuff.

118 cans of ice cold beer. Do they make a larger model?

Paulina - 10-31-2007 at 05:34 PM

Yes they do. I think it has your name on it.

How do you "power" this great refer/freezer? 12 volt? Or 110?

Leo - 10-31-2007 at 05:37 PM

Never say never!

But eh, we might take you up on that can of beer. Where are you located?

That is sooo cool. [ a little pun there ] A refrigerator called the Dennis. I've finally made it. Mother Theresa, on her best day, couldn't keep 200 cans of beer cold.

Our last 2 week trip to Baja we had a Engle 42 refer best piece of gear for the trip, our smoked wahoo lasted almost 2 weeks and we had yogurt into the second week. Battery in Jeep never got run down. I'll never have to buy ice again.

Super "cool" unit. Just make sure you hide it out of site from unwanted pesky "beer burros". I've seen them clean out a cooler during a race quicker than a rooster can crow!

Dennis, I'd seriously consider just going with the 118 can unit. Just consider "beer rotation" as a healthy daily workout.

118 cans = 4.9 beers an hour on a 24/7 schedule. Think of rotation not only as an exercise; but, keeping your beer fresh as well.

Ok, well.. maybe you could build an auto-loader.

118 huh? - what are you gonna do for cold drinks in the afternoon??

docsmom - 10-31-2007 at 09:01 PM

Paulina,
If a visitor left Las Vegas carrying 118 cans, and arrived at Paulina's the next day. Assuming the visitor drank 18 cans on the trip down. How many cans would be left and how long would it take to cool the next day's supply?
:lol::lol::lol:

The gato is muy bonito!

You guys are killing me. What is this, math class? If Dennis is going to be drinking one beer every ten minutes as Mango suggested, we're going to have to rotate them to keep the other beers cold for the rest of you.

Santiago is going to have to bring his own because no one can keep up with his consumption.

Docsmom only has 100 cans left to drink after her trip from Vegas in which she chugged down 18 cans along the way. Hopefully she won't be thirsty by the time the next day's supply cools down figuring she has 100 more cans to go.

However, those remaining cans that get added to the lot should be of drinking temp. within 20 minutes granted we can keep Dennis from falling naked into the Fridge Freeze.

This is a rough drinking life I lead....
