I really enjoyed this series of photos, Sara. Very interesting to see the artists at work, how the altar and tapete all come together. So colorful
it is, how much meaning is built into it. How much time was spent making it real?

Nena, Paula, y Paulina, I am so glad you enjoyed the pictures. I have been casting and painting skulls for several weeks. The actual building of the
alter and tapete was done in half a day. The design for the tapete was some time in the mind of Xochitl before finalizing in real life, the creative
process you know.
If there was ever a time to come to Oaxaca, it is for Dia de Muerto, the town really comes alive, there is so much to see and do.
I am packing, packing, packing. I plan to go the the Municipal Cemantary in a couple of hours, than out to Hoho for a look at a country graveyard and
than we head to Mexico City around 1 a.m.
If all goes according to plan, I will be sleeping in my own bed in Baja Saturday night.

computer, but had to login to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing the creative process as well as the end result.

Yes Sara, Happy trails to you.Maybe you are already home? Darn it, I was so hoping to get down there but the costs of flights are so dang high I don't
know if I can! Rachels B-day is at the end of this month and she so wants her Nana to be there.Did you know that Juanita had another nina?She is
