It seems that solar power in San Diego doubled the price of deep cycle regular golf cart batteries from $70 to $150- Is there any other place where
the prices are more resonable? Costco carries some but they are discontinued due to failure to hold a charge for very long (duh). thanks - Marvcapt. mike - 11-6-2007 at 05:19 PM
yes, go to "Interstate" batt co. and ask for blems or fact 2nds.
i am bringing my 2 new ones down, 6 volt same as T-105s, as soon as the phx warehouse tells me they got some in.BajaWarrior - 11-6-2007 at 06:45 PM
Powerstride on Kurtz St. in San Diego right behind the Sports Arena.
They also have batteries comparable to Trojan at half the price. Discount for orders larger than 10 the guy told me.
They have a website as well. But you'll have to call for current prices. My last purchase was about $75 each for the same as Trojan, that was less
than a year ago.

Yep, saw those too for that price, and they had plenty at the Morena Blvd in San Diego store.
I need to do some more comparison I guess before I buy 20 of those baby's. My guy at Powerstride can match that price for a purchase of 20 with no
core charge. I believe the weight is the same as the Trojan 105's.
I asked you once before MrBill, how your Costco's were working out,, still good I imagine?
Costco Batts A-OK
MrBillM - 11-7-2007 at 05:12 PM
No Problems, but then I've never had a premature failure from any other GC batts either. In my case, the life-cycle has been 4-5 years, but I've
always replaced batteries before failure so I don't know how long they might last.
From 1998 through 2002 I bought exclusively (at dealer price) Interstate. Never a complaint.BajaWarrior - 11-7-2007 at 10:58 PM
$72.86 for the Costco batteries in San Diego (we just did our shopping there tonight). $5 core if you bring your old battery in for disposal? Or $5
core refundable when you do bring a core? Huh?wornout - 11-8-2007 at 07:18 AM
Brodina's Batteries (http://http://www.brodings.com) in La Mesa has some pretty good deals if you are local. Mexray, on this forum, sells batteries
in the Stockton area.
CostCo Exchange

$72.86 is the price outright. $67.86 Exchange.
That's a low core charge for the GC Batteries. Other places have been charging $9-$10 OR two auto batteries in exchange. The clerk at Cosco said
that they are STILL selling most of their GC batts outright. Apparently most feel that the 5 buck savings is not worth the trouble.
