Eduardo Telemontes Senior and his son in La Paz are among the best I have ever met. Excellent rates, kind, gentle service and the office is more
modern on procedure than many in the US. I can highly recommend them.
I believe this is their office. If not let me know that you had trouble reaching them.
dialing from the US 011-52-1-612-1227343 or from baja 1-612-1227343 and in la paz 1227343Mango - 11-11-2007 at 10:18 PM
Pretty much any border city will have many dentists and doctors. Algodones (at the border of CA/AZ/Baja has many, and almost exists solely because of
gringos going to doctors/dentists. Mexicali and TJ also have many.
I don't know of any dentists here in Mexicali off hand; but, I could ask around if you were interested in finding a dentist here.Fred - 11-12-2007 at 12:30 PM
Comitan.....Anywhere in Baja. I usually head down to Los Barriles.
Thanks fdt and gnukid
Mango I did post a Algodones forum a day before this posting.comitan - 11-12-2007 at 12:46 PM

In La Paz, I dealt with a wonderful dentist, although he was an orthodontist (going thru middle age crisis and had braces) - Dr. Tuchman. He spoke
English very well, his prices were good, and his office space was luxurious. There were other dentists who worked with him though.... Can't remember
the street name, but it was right across the street from a French Bistro one street off the Malecon, also just down from the coffee/bakery shop with
the Chinese restaurant upstairs. There is a a private off-street parking lot where you can get your car washed inexpensively while you are at your
appointment if you wish.Smoke - 11-12-2007 at 06:03 PM
Has anyone been to the dentist in Los BarrilesFred - 11-12-2007 at 07:23 PM
Smoke...is that the one at the end of the road heading toward North Beach?bajabound2005 - 11-12-2007 at 08:42 PM
None of you has been to a DENIST! As posted....would that not be a follower of DENNIS? Oh, I get it! You are looking for a DENTIST! But, back to
the other questions... DONDE?Pstreet1 - 11-13-2007 at 10:56 AM
My dentist in Rosarito Beach is Dr. Oscar Avila 011-52-661-612-1383 smileoac@hotmail.com
His office is spotless, and his English is excellent. Both he and his periodontist, Dr. Amelia, teach at the Tijuana Dental College.Fred - 11-13-2007 at 01:08 PM
Pstreet...thanks
bajabound........I didn't ask for the one talking thru his teeth at Patty's.bajabound2005 - 11-13-2007 at 07:22 PM
Si, but Fred -- if you want a dentist closer to Patty's (isn't there one right next door?), there is a good one in Maneadero. Dr. Cueva -- catty
corner from the Quintero Market on the Carretera. No habla ingles but he's got great classical music playing in his spotless office full of some very
nice equipment. Teeth cleaned for $250 pesos.

Thanks bajabound. I have talked to that guy next door to Patty's while I was camping in La Jolla this summer. Not to impressed.Smoke - 11-13-2007 at 08:29 PM

I think it was across from Otra Vezbajabound2005 - 11-13-2007 at 08:45 PM
Fred -- everyone here is asking WHERE? In case you haven't noticed, Baja is just a little smaller than Alta......so the WHERE ? is kind of important.Fred - 11-13-2007 at 08:48 PM
yes, the one down the street from there. I know some of the people at Verdugos gp there. They seem to like it. I was always on a budget down there
and they just opened a couple of years ago. So for me it was beer or a sore tooth. Damn that tooth is still sore.Fred - 11-13-2007 at 08:51 PM
Bajabound..................well I cross at Tecate and head down to Los Barriles until it is too hot and humid, then I head back up the Pacific side.
So I can stop anywhere on that route. It usually takes me 4 weeks from Tecate to Los Barriles, so I am in no hurry.bajabound2005 - 11-13-2007 at 09:06 PM
Fred, mi amigo! Post where and WHAT you want done. Then trust the Nomads to guide you, like the Magi....Smoke - 11-13-2007 at 09:07 PM
Fred, thanx for the info. Im heading back down in Dec, may give them a try.Fred - 11-13-2007 at 09:14 PM
Bajabound.................Any town, any time..............just need a tooth pulled and maybe a crown.wilderone - 11-14-2007 at 11:18 AM
If you're getting a crown, it will necessitate at least two trips, and if you're having a tooth pulled, you might get a 10-day antibiotic prescription
to avoid infection. So maybe take care of it and know it is successful before you travel. Try Washington Dental Clinic in TJ 1-800-207-9223Fred - 11-14-2007 at 12:38 PM
wilderone.....................I already have the pills to take before and after. I also know I need to stop my blood thinner a week before the tooth
is pulled. I am just looking for a good denist. And, also the time frame is no problem if it takes me 4 weeks from Tecate to Los Barriles. So, a 2
tripper is ok.
