I noticed that the board doesn't recognise me so tried to log in
but the pass word I tried wouldn't work. So I asked for it to befound
( the E-mail route) still no help. I do remember a while back deleting
a bunch of 'cookies' did this cause the problem? Do I need to re-register?
Will it let me use the same name or will a problem occur?

Deleting the cookies will only force you to have to login again, other than that, it's not the problem.
There were some DNS issues with my service provider over the weekend, and although it would be strange, could have been the source of the problem.
