just got back from a week down at our place to watch the race and do a little work on the pad. about 10 guys went down not only to watch the race but allso a few were pitting for KTM motercycles up around were the dirt road intersepted the road into the bay of la. they replaces one of the bikes rims and installed the offroad lights as dark was comeing on quickly and then they joined us for the rest of the race. the first bike came by around 5.05 pm(honda) followed by the second at 5.25, soon after more bikes and quads started comeing. we saw are first trophy truck (around 11 i believe) blast by and i belive it was the riviera truck and we were all grinning with dirt in our mouthes by then. then it was truck after truck and truckies till i hit the sack around 2 in the mourning. the next mourning we went out and saw our friend igor go by with a big wave from him and he was on the pipe movenig some ground. along came more trophys and truckies and a few bikes here and there. towards the end of the day alot of buggys started comeing by with a few yamaya righnos mixed in and quads. didnt see any major breakdown around us but had heard of alot north of us and a few south. all in all a fun race and look forward to the 500. a few friends did go out on a panga with our friend pepe and came back with one yellow (10 pounds), a few nice sheeps head, a few red snappers , white fish and white bonita. they had a good time as the day was glassy and the air was warm. we had neer perfect weather as allmost everyday was glassy calm with water temps. in the low to mid 70s and air temps around 82 in the day and low 60.s at night. i dont think ive ever had better weather in november and hopefully january will be as nice. had no problems comeng back through tecate and made it back in 17 hours to morro bay. look forward to the next trip when my wife can accompany me and get alittle more fishing in on the boat.

Roberto,

This wasn't Igor's first race. He drove in the 7sx - modified open mini class in a Ford Ranger. Driver of record was Jim Hinesley #759. They came in third. There were eleven starters in their class and only three finished. Their time was 49:32:45, average speed 26.165.

Thanks, great pixs. I really like the lights on the ATV in pix 9. The lights look like a light saber in star wars.

Doing the race in a Rhino.........now, that's my style!
