Bienvenidos, mi amigo
Long time no posts
That looks like a great place to stop.

Hi Roger,
Good to see you're back in Baja! Your sense of humor has been missed here!
Are you down for the winter?
Looks like a nice hotel, and a good dinner has been hard to find for a while in San Quintin.

Thanks for the info...I've been wondering about that place for a while now.

Roger,

Agree completely. Stayed there 2 years ago same price. Lots of offstreet parking also.

Have missed your posts!

It is a nice place. First stopped in there when it was less than a year old. Ricardo is a very great host and helped us get an electronic issue fixed on the Bronco.
We've stopped there several times since.
Pretty good grinds at the restaurant too.
His sister would not let us take the dog into the room on our last stop. Duke had to sleep in the back of GSB :?:

No dogs? No good for me as I always have my dog with me and a cover to put on the bed. Usually we stay at La Pinta or Old Mill but a new hotel with internet would be good. This is San Quintin by the way, and not Cabo. Glad my dog is with me on the boat. By the way, we are in La Paz and have had no problem with the dog on a leash on the Malecon. Even eating dinner with her on resturant patios. Please excuse the spelling, I am so used to spellcheck that we need it on this board for us bad spellers.

Thanks Roger... we sure missed you here!

Any motel that tries hard to provide a good value deserves our support. Too bad it isn't further away from El Rosario, because we do want to support our friend Antonio and his Baja Cactus Motel... and that is only 25-30 miles from San Quintin.

Sounds like a real winner though for those staying in San Quintin or not wanting to drive a half hour more to Rosario.

It's hardly "new" anymore but I think I know what you mean. It's getting very popular so if you want to stay there go on their webpage and make a resevation.
I think the Baja Cactus is the unofficial hotel for Bajanomads on their first and last day in Baja. It is very charming. But they don't compare. Villa is more modern and efficient but not much charm. Ricardo is a real nice guy and super helpful.
The restuarant is good but expensive. Not much charm there ether.

We thought about staying at this hotel, but the no dog thing stopped that. It looked like a nice place.

We have stayed at Baja Cactus, but El Rosario is just not in the right place for us and we are not crazy about El Rosario---wish Baja Cactus had a chain of hotels.

Pomp: I agree - stayed there in August and my wife was impressed - 'nuff said.
