At least, according to weather underground. Appears to be tropical moisture from the south and west.
Keep us posted, locals. Amounts, intensity, temp, etc.

It rained on and off all day today but looked as if it was headed to Abreojos or more out to the west to sea. It even thundered for awhile and there
is alot of arguments whether it was an earthquake or thunder as it definately shook the houses....sure felt and sounded like an earthquake but could
have been thunder too...hmmmcapt. mike - 11-29-2007 at 01:39 AM
Pompano - i flew out yesterday went up to 10.5 to see it to the west, its moving more northeasterly caught awesome tail ride and got blown to nogales.

dust and clean the plants. Too dark for a Photo.

Light rain this morning in Loreto.Cypress - 11-29-2007 at 09:24 AM
Light drizzel for the last hour or so in Mulege, starting to settle the dust.vandenberg - 11-29-2007 at 09:46 AM
Some light rain here in La Paz last night, just enough to make some puddles on the concrete. Heavy overcast.
Now, stop it. Don't like to have to drive back to Loreto in the rain tomorrow. Almost like driving in the snow when you're not accustomed to it rpleger - 11-29-2007 at 09:50 AM
Mulege sure needs a good rain....Just keep those hurricanes away...Hook - 11-29-2007 at 12:04 PM
Still looks like Friday could produce larger amounts, especially depending on what those thick clouds do west and south of the "fish hook"

Hook... the "fish hook"... wow, that's what it looks like, that's for sure. Here's my take on San Diego.... is it an "elephant" or "an upsidedown
fish hook"?
Calling Mulege.....come in Mulege! What's the rain status up there so far today??!!
Or San Bruno. Or Chivato. Or SR???????
Raining in Mulege...
Mulegena - 11-30-2007 at 11:34 AM

as always the north and south river roads are a muddy mess-- just add water and stir.Russ - 11-30-2007 at 03:56 PM
Punta Chivato; Rain since early morning: So far about half inch--.43" Strong SE winds to 27mph. Followed the sat pictures and thought we were really
going to get soaked but now the storm seems to be heading towards Cabo or south. Here's a recent shot: I think we'll have a really nice day tomorrow
to go out and explore after the rain.
gawd i wish i was there now

hey MIke, some amigos want to fly in here tomorrow...do you know what happens to dirt strips after a very heavy rain...do they get real soft and would
this be a problem???Bajagypsy - 11-30-2007 at 08:05 PM
Goodness what is with the weather. Sounds like Baja is getting soaked. Here in Saskatoon, it has been -37 with the wind for a week. Usually at this
time of year we are at maybe -15. This is weather for February here.
well...yes!!

the Serenidad got soaked last 2 days. one guy made it in just before the deluge and now he is stuck several days till it dries out.
if wet and muddy, sloppy its not safe unless you are in a true bush plane with tires for such.
i'd have them wait till it dries or heck its their equipment, if they want to risk bending them, their choice.
if it was very hard pan with good drainage maybe ok - drive it, walk it. check it out.
