Ok, first of all, I am not an off-road racer.....but I do have a question for all of you that are.
I have a 1986 Subaru Brat (ok, no laughter) and I would like to obtain a 2" lift kit. I know that this will not increase my ground clearance, however
I want to get some body lift, and besides, I think it would look cool!!!
Any of you know who I could contact regarding this or where I could obtain the parts and have the lift done locally>>>>>looking for a
web site or a name and e-mail address???
Thanks

The front MacPherson strut may have adjustment bolts on the top to raise it... I had three Suabaru 4WD wagons (the same set up as the BRAT), a 1977.5,
1980, and a 1986... I recall raising the '80 with the built in adjustments offered, but don't remember if the '86 had it... The back end was raised
using the lug wrench on a center bolt under the back seat! Great little known feature!
Subaru lost me when they went from 4WD to AWD and now no low range!

If the guy is running a 4" lift with 27" tires, why would anyone bother going through all of the trouble to install a 2" lift in the first place? If
you are trying to make your rig look "cool" go for the 4" instead of the 2".
