Chihuahua Mix Travel Companion, Please adopt me

MrsFDT - 12-11-2007 at 03:21 PM

Or a permanant cuddle companion. Some of you know Im a breeder of Chihuahua show dogs, but I also rescue a lot of small and large breed pups and adults here in Tijuana.

I have a 2 year old Chocolate Brindle Chiweenie. I think she is one of those $1000 dllr designer dogs, She was recued October 06 in National City, California and is still with us. Im having to rehome several of my dog's, Ive gone past my own limit. :( That includes several purebred Chihuahua's.

But for now I would like to find a great companion home for Dottie. She loves the car, running and playing practical jokes on you. She is extremely playful and energetic. I will ask for a standard 100.00 adoption Fee to cover her shots and vet stuff, but thats about it. Send me a U2U if anyone is interested.

How does she get along with other dogs? Where are you located?

MrsFDT - 12-11-2007 at 05:00 PM

She's is great with others, I have 12 and they all run together. She does have a teasing streak. She loves to poke and razz the other dogs in an effort to get them to engage her, But to her, its all in good fun.

Some of my older dogs dont think its funny and get snappy at her, but I think she enjoys that. It makes her poke at them even more. All that, without breaking her good nature.

Her best trick is taking a running go and grabbing a tail as she whizzes by. SHe also likes to take a running go and jump in your arms. I think she likes to be caught in mid air.

I do however want to stress, she is energetic and will run for more than an hour if you let her. I think energy wise she reminds me of a Jack Russel Terrier. Always playing and getting into anything she thinks your hiding.

I personally under differant circumstances would keep her, She is tirrific with the kids, but I do have too many and have to think about my show dogs.

When they have litters its hard to let go and sell them, thus the reason for my canundrum.

I thought I had posted where I was, Sorry. Im in Tijuana. I dont want to ship her, but she can also be picked up in San Diego.

A Chiweenie????

Oh God, the embarrassment of explaining that to my buddies.

"That's a pretty little chiweenie ya got there, Hook!"

fdt - 12-11-2007 at 11:06 PM

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

MrsFDT - 12-12-2007 at 12:23 PM

Hey dont make fun of the little dogs Hook, They wouldnt be liing when they said that....

Plus she is so smart that the embarrasment of a big man owning a powder puff dog would diappear when everyone wanted to taker her from ya, HUH...

Maybe if she was a chiweenie that went to the fridge on command and fetched a beer? I could train her to do that....

But then FDT might want to keep her....:lol::lol:

Definately too much for elderly cats!

I think she would be perfect for someone energetic, especially a dog loving kid as she is so interactive and could probably pick up anything that kids wanted to teach her. She will have a life span of about 14 plus years I think so for a teen or preteen would be perfect.

She loves playing with the other dogs if they like wrestling with her. So she might do well as a k9 companion to another k9 who has no one to play with on their trips to Baja.

Decided I shouldnt be selling dogs on here, thus the edit. Thanks:bounce:

YAP-YAP...........LET ME ON YER LAP LAP, OR I WONT STOP WITH THE YAP-YAP!

That's what I hear her saying............

Oh Hook... In my defense

MrsFDT - 12-14-2007 at 12:09 PM

If it makes you feel better FDT and I used to breed Giant Dobermans:biggrin: 80 plus pounds of Doberman. Real show stoppers, but we quit for a few years and retired our dogs They got old and the ones Ive seen for sale are horrable and stupid. Nothing worse than a stupid dog, which I think most purbreds are now a days.:?:

PS: Ive dealt with the Yappy Factor. This is my defense part... Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to GOALS. Wev'e already seen results.

Ay, chihuahua!

That;s quite a family photo album. Some of those photos look professionally lit; others are clearly digitally "burned in".

This is serious stuff to you guys. And I can certainly see the need to divest.

But 'm a Lab man or Lab mix at the worst.

Uh, except for this Labradoodle I've been hearing about. I'm picturing a Labrador with Don King fur.

Labradoodles, Glorified Benji's

MrsFDT - 12-14-2007 at 03:28 PM

Truthfully I've heard they are quite intelligent......not to mention hypoalergenic.:lol::lol:

Hook - 12-14-2007 at 03:34 PM

WOW, those are pretty cute critters! I've always like the LOOKS of terrier-types, Airdales, etc. Those look similar.

Much cuter than Don King..........

Are they really hypoallengenic? I do have some occasional issues with the Labs I've owned.

MrsFDT - 12-14-2007 at 03:52 PM

Yeah thats what I heard, It's many breeders selling point. Poodles dont shed, So they combind the intteligence of a lab and the characteristics of a poodle and vualla a new breed that doesnt shed.

I think they breed True, Means when bred to each other they produce exactly the same thing. Not like a regular mutt.

That in turn means they are technically now a purebred, breeders are trying to push for a registry on them.

Hook - 12-14-2007 at 04:04 PM

My in-laws just got one from Kansas or Iowa. They paid plenty for it. I guess I will see it over the holidays. It's a golden labradoodle.

Labrodoodle............I think I have a problem with THAT term, too.

ROFLMO

Dottie Found her new home! She went south to just past Sta Rosalia with Baja Nomad losfrailes .

We are pleased she is hitting warmer climates.

BAJACAT - 1-2-2008 at 09:12 PM

You did good Simone...

fdt - 1-2-2008 at 09:54 PM

Los Frailes contacted us and he got home ok, 11 hour drive no problems and his family aproved of Dottie and Dottie aproved of them and there are a couple of cats there and she was having fun chasing them. A good story.

losfrailes - 1-3-2008 at 09:36 AM

As we speak, this lovable little thing is sitting on my lap while I write. A very hyper little dog.
Dog chasing cats, nah, the cats are bigger and they don't run! Kinda a mexican standoff (no pun intended).
She has certainly adopted this family and vice versa.

IM VERY HAPPY.
Now too get her fattened up! Of all the dogs, her and another didnt care much for the downgrade of dogfood and refused to eat much of it.

I know she is in great hands now. Thank you Wayne.

Remember that by the time she hits 4 years she will mature and calm down quite a bit. She just loves to run, and is still quite young.

oops i just posted and saw that fdt was logged on my computer again, lol my mistake.

Simone
