Hello,
We usually change the oil on our 2004 Tundra ourselves. Unfortunately we have not been able to acquire the OE Toyota oil filter that we prefer to
use. We will be in La Paz at the end of the month and would like to treat ourselves to an oil change done by someone else... but getting the correct
oil filter is most important. Is there an actual Toyota Service/Parts place in La Paz?
Thanks,
-CP

No. But there are many places that do oil changes, I'm sure they have all the filters. I have 2 Toyota's and have no trouble getting parts.

You really think Toyota is in the business of manufacturing oil filters? Are you buying their oil, too?
Wix makes very good filters. Many of them are made in Mexico.

Thanks. I understand Toyota did not 'make' this filter. But we have been happier with the Toyota labeled one than others. Even if they were all
made at the same factory, specs can differ per finished label...
Anyways, sounds like we will have to try something else.
Buen dia.

Fram is the junk filter that's used by the quick lube places. I too would be concerned. They also usually use low quality Pensoiled oil. Ever see what
this stuff does to the insides of an engine? I have.
Wix/NAPA is a great filter. The good Toyota filters are made by Denso. Unfortunately, they are usually not available from the dealers in the USA. I
have two cases of Denso Toyota filters in the garage for a reason, but that is another story.
