hey baja bird, see you at the bar. i'll be there but not eating dinner.
we'll be cooking out on the patio or maybe at Ray's new place.

bajabird - 12-17-2007 at 07:55 AM

for those that know me..... I shouldnt be drinking COFFEE.

Mike see yah at the bar; What is "Ray's new place"? Did I miss something since I was in Loreto last week?

Anyways, since I am traveling with my girlfriend, a safer trip is better with more than one vehicle.... hence the caravan down through the toll-roads area, and on down south. ;)

hit border 0'darkthirty Sunday, Santa Rosalia or Catavinia Sunday night, St. Inez, Monday somewhere? Mulege, Loreto, Santispac, Juncalito, who knows. Look for maroon Dakota, two kayaks on top and small trailer. Free snacks for all Nomads. Yippee!!!!!

Caravan to Mulege in one day in daylight in winter, what are you driving a prerunner?:?::lol::lol::?:

Ken

bajabird - 12-17-2007 at 11:09 AM

Driving a pre-runner? Me? No? It's a race donkey :-)

Pig roast isnt until 7:30 or so, i'm really not in any hurry, never am in baja (accept when I am actually racing). I don't advocate going fast on the highway at all. (not saying that i havent sped, not saying that i have).

Actually for caravanning is for the after border crossing onto ensenada. I go south often, with all the recent problems I thought to be nice and ask if anyone wants to travel in convoy for more safety.

Tom, you and Deb have a safe trip down... (Not sure about the Lobster at Mama 's?)
Enjoy Loreto..are you down through the 1st?

Slow down at the "Bars":lol

Here's our schedule for Saturday...leave house in SD at 4:00am..hit border about 20 minutes later..pick up FMTs and leave TJ by 5:00am. Three more stops after that...El Rosario for gas, tamales at Jesus y Maria, and gas at Vizcaino. Should arrive in Asunion about 5 or 6 pm.

If any of this meets your schedule, let me know. We'll be driving a silver Toyota Truck with a shell and an Autohome on top.

Happy Holidays!

Zac
