Mango - 12-17-2007 at 12:19 PM

I'm glad to hear that all your efforts paid off on this Gnukid. Good work on making the world a little better for the rest of us. Thank you.

Take care and have a Merry Christmas.

May he be sentenced to, uh, "hard" time with Bubba.

Congratulations on your early Christmas present.

Oh yeah, how's the plans for a Soriana's Sting Ops going?

Have you heard of any more scams?

Viva El Manglito!

Good news about 'El Chino'. Did you ever get into it with him with the ninja sticks, taser, fighting stars, mace, knives and clubs that your were carrying around? And whatever happened to those videos you were making?

Not to be confused with the Chino who works so hard for his money,
ps Do they have internet it Mexican jail?

gnukid - 12-17-2007 at 04:55 PM

I am non-violent and he never attacked me so no actual contact. Bad guys always back down and are mostly cowards. I have photos which are not important-I said I would not make a big story but tomorrow it should be in the paper. The whole thing is confusing but every day more peaceful in our neighborhood.

We are very happy today with the arrest of Chino and his wife and we have moved on to better things, he never existed according to the neighborhood. Of course, already the stories are that it was a fake Chino and it wasn't him arrested--that he is las vegas etc..., but I saw and I followed them to the main jail to see if it they brought him there. Difficult to know for sure but I believe that the right steps were taken. Among other arrests this week, it seems it is more easy to arrest someone for something basic as opposed to drugs or serious crimes so they go for the stolen car stereo robber or the guy who stole laundry, there are few who object to that. Just remember this story from months ago... the neigbors went about 20 times to the police station against many refusals to take reports and finally they had to act or be ridiculed.

I bet the police would have acted much quicker if it was a gringo that was dealing drugs and causing trouble.

Hook - 12-17-2007 at 05:13 PM

I bet the police would have acted much slower if stealing laundry netted the kind of money that buys police protection.

Thats not the point and furthermore unsubstantiated, this is a success story about a bad guy that got arrested through factual evidence brought to and investigated by the La Paz Minsterio, at least he is arrested for the day and likely longer.
