During the morning drive hours, KNX 1070 News radio's San Diego reporter, Tom Reopelle was reporting on the attack on the Rosarito police station. 1
dead, 1 injured according to him. Also mentioned the heads in TJ, bodies in Rosarito story and a previous attack on a police compound in the area.
Cant remember which.
He concluded with a statement something like ".......so it appears that the wave of violence is continuing in BAJA CALIFORNIA." Not Rosarito, or Baja
California Norte or Tijuana, but BAJA CALIFORNIA.
KNX is the big dog in radio news in LA/OC/SD. Very powerful signal; affiliate of CBS. Right or wrong, the whole peninsula is being painted with the
same brush in major media.
I'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing, at this point. BCN doesnt have the big multinational-owned hotels and large developments that would be
affected by these stories. It's ownership isn't generally on the level of the areas from La Paz and below.
But if these stories start affecting tourism/investments in BCS as well, it may force the Feds to take more action. BCN might be too easy to ignore.
Unless they attack the Sempra LNG plant, maybe.............
