Sent it in w/o expedited service to the processing center in Philly on 12/9. Got it back today (12/21) by USPS Priority Mail.
Now's a good time if you're thinking about it.

That is a good turnaround. For the agency, isn't a putting out a passport a bit like processing a receipt without having to produce an actual product?

Well, they are supposed to be pretty high tech now. I'm probably carrying around the Mark of the Beast in a chip, or something.
Someone's got to adhere my lovely pic, too. 
I guess they arent being processed in India..........yet.
