We leave on the 26th, so see everyone there!!!

wooohoooo...join the crowd...we're off to the final day of the surf contest, it's chillllllly out there...tiomiguel and bajaboy arrived
yesterday...the tecate stocks are dwindling....
Bajagypsy - 12-23-2007 at 09:57 AM
That is terrible, we need beer, STAT!!!!
shari, we will let you know what time we are leaving San Diego on the 27. Hopefully we won't arrive at night!!

awfulart - 12-23-2007 at 08:15 PM
We also expect to cross the border on the 27th headed for Asuncion. However, we will be leaving Ca from Northridge, having Christmas at my daughters.
Probably wont get to the border berfore noon. We will be pulling a 28 ft Alpenlite Travel trailer with our gray Dodge 3/4 ton Diesel. Wave if you
see us. Don't expect to get to Asuncion until the 29th or 30th, just taking it slow and easy.
Look forward to meeting you all in Asuncion.

awfulart, I was worried that you were going to try to get to Asuncion on the 27, pulling that load!!!
! Glad to ready it coherantly and see that you are breaking up the trip!
capt. mike - 12-24-2007 at 06:35 AM
aren't you guys from canada? and weren't you just down in asuncion a month ar so ago? and you're driving back down there? wow you guys like to drive.
Bajagypsy - 12-24-2007 at 07:12 AM
Yup, we are from Canada, and were just at Shari and Juan's in September!! Can't seem to get away from Asuncion!!!
This year for Christmas, our Pero's gave a present to Mr. Gypsy, it was two airline tickets to San Deigo!!! So we are flying to San Diego, and then
driving from there, not a bad trip at all!!!
jorgie - 12-24-2007 at 07:18 AM
Pero's are good . How long are you staying ??
Bajagypsy - 12-24-2007 at 07:22 AM
Unfortuneatly we both have to be back to work on Jan 3, so we will leave Asuncion on Jan 1, and we fly out from San Deigo on Jan 2.
capt. mike - 12-24-2007 at 07:30 AM
have fun, sounds like you do. its frickin cold here on SOC side it has to be really chilly on pac side!
i need to think about a trip way south.............
Packoderm - 12-24-2007 at 10:46 AM
Let's hope for a warm spell! My son and I are leaving for Asuncion in two days. We'll spend 7 nights in San Roque and then have about nine days to
make it back home. I'm wondering if it would be fun to go to Concepcion for a short while after Asuncion, or if we would rather head home via Gonzaga
and take our time along that stretch. We'll have mini dirt bikes with us, and I think the trail possibilities are better on the way to San Felipe. I
have always wanted to visit Slab City, so we might make time to stop there for a night on our way home.
Martyman - 12-24-2007 at 01:09 PM
Are you the gypsies that forgot your bathing suits last trip? well...I hope you forget them again...I enjoyed the pictures!!
shari - 12-25-2007 at 09:10 AM
We had a fabulous calm, hot, sunny day yesterday...totally awesome! Can't wait to see all of you soon!
Bajagypsy - 12-26-2007 at 03:50 AM
YIPEEE it is 4:30 in the morning in our cold Canada home, and we are getting ready to drive to Calgary, to hop on a plane to San Diego!!!!
Shari, we will be leaving around 5 am from our hotel in San Ysidro, so we should see you around 6 or 7 pm!!!!!
MERRY Boxing day everyone!
fishbuck - 12-27-2007 at 11:19 AM
Well? Did they make it? I've been following along so don't keep me hanging.
I hope the weather is good for them. They deserve it for the extraordinary effort to get there.
I hope there's a nice big yellow waiting for Mr. Gypsy!
shari - 12-27-2007 at 06:35 PM
It was super windy and chilly today and Juan was putting a rock patio on our new casita...I have the margarita's ready for Gypsies when they pull in
which should be any second...you won't hear from us till tomorrow then as they will want to PARTEEEEE...tonight's menu at Tiomiguels casa is halibut
that Barbarena caught today in front of thier RV....bajaboy and girl and amigos will be present to welcome the gypsies too...fishing weather is
supposed to improve in the next few days so Juan will be super busy.
fishbuck - 12-27-2007 at 07:17 PM
Okay, thanks! I wish I was there but hope you all have a great time. Tight lines to all the pescadores. If the weather is right I'm sure Juan will
find the fish!
Oh and tell Bajaboy not to catch all the fish! Man, is that guy lucky!
shari - 12-28-2007 at 07:32 AM
Gypsies are here!! Arrived early last evening and we fed em shrimp, yellowtail and margaritas and tecate....nice homecoming! Today we head to San

shari - 12-29-2007 at 08:37 AM
Mick will be here tomorrow and stay in our casita with the gypsies...speaking of whom...won the "Hunter Gatherer" Prize in San Roque yesterday when he
speared a 22 KILO halibut....we enjoyed watching him wrestle it to shore and fed all Nomadlandia last night before the big dance. The pictures are
fabulous...maņana amigos.
capt. mike - 12-29-2007 at 08:57 AM

Mick and Maria and Mr Gypsy had a wonderful dive, to cold for this gypsy girl, I didn't bring a warm enough wetsuit
. That's ok, I'm going to get the thickest wetsuit I can and go next time!!!
shari - 1-3-2008 at 08:39 PM
thanks for that gypsies...we missed you at tonights fiesta at tiomiguels where we BBQ'ed Tim's 40 something pound yellowtail!!! Another big Nomad
gathering. Bajaboy and Tim caught 5 yellowtail today making them happy pescadores today. Tomorrow Tiomiguel and Diver try to beat their record.
our New Year's GetaWaaayy!!
Mulegena - 1-3-2008 at 09:11 PM
Yes, Mick & Maria say a big "Thank you, Gypsies!!" for a wonderful getaway from one side of the peninsula to the 'tother. Gratitudes to Juan for
showing us the best-ever dive sites. Next time Ms. Gypsy I'll be sure to have a proper wetsuit for you-- bummer you bagged your dive for the cold
water. The new year's bash at Mike & Jane's was so fun with everybody there. And being with Shari and her family was a heart-warming treat and is
sure to be repeated as often as possible.
capt. mike - 1-4-2008 at 06:33 AM
wet suit??!!
i would think dry suits would be the ticket!!
burrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shari - 1-4-2008 at 07:38 AM
The water is not THAT cold...lots of Nomads have been swimming without suits...but for diving and hanging out with the sealions in deep water, it is a
bit chilly. I'm very excited that Mick and Maria were impressed with our dive sites...NOmads are jumping ship daily here...bajaboy and girl leave
today but Packoderm decided to stay on..he's a San Roque convert now! Diver and Tiomiguel are out fishing at the moment under thundering skies in
hopes of beating Mr.Barbarena's record fish yesterday (over 40 pounds). He was a happy Nomad for sure and so were all the gang last night who ate it.
