Love those pix---the Christmas Cactus makes me a little homesick. We have a huge one at our other home and it was just blooming when we left. We
left it in care of a neighbor so they could enjoy it.
Next year we have to have one here.

When we bought them, 4, we were told that they were kirby palms but I just googled that and got nada. Will post a pic of the palm when I am back on
my PC. They are very prolific. We probably have 20 now and could have more if we were serious about cultivating them.
The locals call them Christmas Palms because these bright red seeds come around this time of the year.
My chickens love the seeds.

No our machete wielding gardener sliced that puppy in half while trimming the tree. I happened by with my camera, noticed the fly and took the shot.

Those look like King or Alexandria Palms...or one of that subgroup.

I think those are seeds from a Christmas Palm (Veitchia merrillii). It's sometimes referred to as a Manila Palm as they are from the Phillipines. I
understand that fresh seeds are best - don't let them dry out too long if you plan to grow more of those beautiful palms.
