The local mountain bike club, the Lobos Marinos are organizing a New Year's Eve Dance at the Disco. Can't miss the Disco, it is that very, very
bright building as you enter town, It is a fund raising event for a VERY worthwhile organization.
Time: 9pm which means probably more like 10pm---will end like most fiestas here---sometime in the morning
Price: I think I understood, but remember, I am still on the language learning curve. 100 pesos for men and 50 pesos for woman
So even if you are attending another fiesta, the night is long and it is an opportunity to support the Lobos Marinos and meet
some more very nice local people.
Most of the members of the Mountain Bike team are children---the youngest being 2 years old, and yes he races. It is a great activity for children
here, and the team has some really strong competitors. Tomas, a twelve year old won first place in an invitational meet in La Paz with teams from all
over Baja and the mainland.
The team really appreciates the previous generosity from Nomads.
So, it is a long night--stop by if you can for a while. We forgot to tell them that we would tell the other gringos in town about this event, but
EVERYONE will be welcomed.
Happy New Year to all

Sounds like a real good time for all, Diane. I'm very sorry not to be able to join you, but I'll be dancin' with you in spirit.

Diane, it's good to hear from you.
Thanks for the invite - all the way up here.
Technology, gotta love
it.
Tell Thomas congratulations on his win in La Paz. I know the rest of Team Lobos Marinos is looking forward to their next race.
I'm going to put in that box of biking magazines tight spandex disco pants. On your next trip, you'll be appropriately dressed.
Happy New Year - Deb

We will try to herd the crowd over to the disco which is a half a block from the beach house so they won't be sleeping anyway! Can't wait to shimmy!
