Rain in Baja??

Al G - 1-26-2008 at 09:54 AM

Headed south next week...been raining here for days.
I should have been watching the weather in Baja...has it been raining in Baja? How is the road in to Bahia Asuncion?
Thanks,
Albert

the day before yesterday we got a light sprinkling, enough to make the wild flowers blooming everywhere happy and wet down the earth but that was it...the road has just been graded a couple days ago so it's a good time to come in...the governor will be here Feb.1st for the inauguration of our new big sports complex plaza which is in front of bajaboys casita. The weatehr is supposed to be back to normal next week...nice and warm and sunny...See ya soon then...any chance of bringing some dogfood, we have 6 new puppies!

You got it Shari...but what kind? Do I pick it up in Guerrero Negro? How much?

Hey Shari-

If the Gov needs a place to stay, I'd consider renting the place out....

Rained for six hours at San Carlos night before last - whale watching mighty cold. Water is cold also - not that many whales in. As it warms up, the whales will travel here. I was out on the island (Mag island) for the night - rain sounded great on the tent roof (big canvas tent - no problem).

The low pressure system sitting off of S. California is pumping moist air that usually sits off of south Baja about 200 miles up over La Paz and northward. If you guys in San Diego would just let the low pressure system go east it would clear up here and the whales would arrive!

Your weather man in La Paz.

Just started litely raining here. "They" say we're in for a good one.

Thanks, Bernardo and Dennis...in a few days I will be seeking sunshine and hoping the roads don't have to many potholes. They do really bad things to my motorhome...knock the glass shower door off it's hinges twice:biggrin:

Well Al,

We had a couple of very light sprinkles on Tues nite in Todos Santos........

The weather has definately been getting warmer this past week..... the nights aren't so cold and today we hit temps in the mid eighties F.

Ron, that is real good news...miserable here. I am so tired of this dreary NorCal. I have not been here in Jan for a while...don't know how my friend talked me into staying:( the toll road seems a little more secure now so I guess it is a good thing. Hope to see you when I get there...

It rained all night here at Bahia Santa Maria

Al G - 1-27-2008 at 08:35 AM

It rained all night here too and still is. I don't mind night rain, when it rain all day it is very difficult to get ready. Thought I would head on south and stay a few days in San Diego to finish packing right. Everything high inside must be packed in the bays under the floor...Mountains curves are a lot easier. Cannot get the 10 forecast to show for San Diego...sure should be better then here....10 days non-stop rain:biggrin:

Heavy overcast here in Conception Bay..with one or two drops on the flagstones.

Just the odd sprinkle here but Al, I would take that glass shower door off the motor home when you come out the dirt road to Asuncion!!! Follow the power poles all the way....very important! Do you know where you want to park that rig? You can park it where Tim & Barb parked for a month and loved it...halibut and croakers in your front yard! see ya soon...oh yeah, big bags of dog food are cheaper in the states! see ya soon amigo
