My wife is still in the process of trying to furnish our home but has had difficulty finding what she wants. Most of what she has found has been
either very modern or very rustic. She is trying for more of a tropical motif. Are there any recommendations out there where she might find more of
what she is looking for in Baja Sur? Ie; more like rattan, wicker, bamboo? I guess more like the Tommy Bahama line.longlegsinlapaz - 1-26-2008 at 02:51 PM
Alan, I don't know the Tommy Bahama line, but try looking at http://www.lapaz-realestate.com/ On the left side of the screen there's a "Home Decor" button, after you click that, the picture on the right
revolves to show a sample of some of the rattan/wicker furniture Sidne carries. She has a lot more in her 2 stores than shows up online. Hope this
helps.

Sorry, don't know of a muebleria in Baja which offers the rattan/tropical furniture. You might try an online store such as Fran's Wicker Furniture or
another dealer which can be found on ebay.com.Alan - 1-26-2008 at 05:49 PM
Thanks Carol but Michelle has scoured every inch of both of Sidne's Gallerias but not what she was looking for. Have also been through La Canada and
Casa Dracula in TS. I was thinking we might find something down in Los Cabos with all the development that has been going on for years in that area.
I was hoping that through the combined experience of the Nomads I could find what I wanted and limit my shopping days in the Cabo area.
It is not a problem of finding what she wants. It's all over So Cal. The problem is finding it in Baja Sur. I was hoping to avoid the hassle of
driving or shipping it down but judging by the lack of replies I may not have a choice.
Anyone have experience with shipping?longlegsinlapaz - 1-26-2008 at 06:00 PM
Try Bob and Susan....they've posted information for a site that they imported wicker/rattan furniture from & had it imported. I think there are
pics on here somewhere of what they furnished their place in Mulege with....try doing a search here or take the easy way out & send them a U2U if
they don't chime in. I remember just enough to be dangerous....not sure it it came from Costa Rico....Puerto Rico....or Inner or Outer
Mongolia???????

we bought ours on the internet and shipped it to the usa...

example of pricing was 10 times less than a retail store in southern california for the exact same stuff

Yes! Rattan Penninsula is in the Plaza Tesoro adjacent to the marina in Cabo San Lucas. They carry a large selection of very nice rattan furniture,
- living, dining, bedroom, outdoor. You can purchase off the floor, but we special ordered 4 dining chairs in a special fabric and are VERY happy
with the results.
Only problem is that they promised 6 week delivery in time for Christmas. Turned out to be 12 weeks. Just got them last week. They did offer to
loan us four chairs for Christmas day, but we declined.
Some beautiiful stuff.Alan - 3-8-2008 at 08:59 AM

Yes I did find Treasures and they had exactly what I have been looking for. Unfortunately far beyond my means. Even a lamp I really liked was $695
USD. I didn't find Rattan Peninsula. I guess I am going to have to pursue other options.roamin - 3-10-2008 at 04:44 PM
I used gringo furniture and furnished most all off my house in Todos Santos. They are good people and really responsive. They delivered and set up and
we only had one broken piece and they replaced it no questions asked...now If I could figure out where they sent it to.....
