Yesterday we went out to the surf beach at Los Choros to take some photos of the surf team for the new website that ms.fdt is creating...MIL GRACIAS
amiga! The waves were lovely and clean and the kids were super stoked....they would come in...teeth chattering...get their picture taken and personal
data and then they would scamper back out into the briney blue to tackle some more lovely waves. these kids are very motivated to improve their
surfing and I felt for them as they had such ratty wetsuits...some were way too big...and they have to share the boards...take turns as they dont have
enough to go around. They are planning a surf school in the summer to help raise $ to get some ne boards....so anyone out there with any old wetsuits
or boards who is feeling generous can certainly help out this deserving bunch of kids...Here are a couple of my favorite shots.

Surf does look clean Shari, for sure. I remember that kid, what is his name? He has a real clean style for a super grom and shows a power that will
bust out with a little more weight and experience.
And yeah, I have boards that I don't use any more stored in my garage. They are all very special to my memory and history and I have kept them
around for just such an opportunity to present itself. After our trip there in Oct and how cool the kids were to Les and I out at the point their new
home was manifested to me. I don't know exactly when we will make it down in the near future so keep that between us for now. I'd like to have it be
somewhat of a surprise. shari - 1-28-2008 at 08:10 PM
Oh Gadget, that would be so cool to come down and surprise the kids with some gear....they would be stoked for sure...gracias amigo and we look
forward to seeing you again.JESSE - 1-28-2008 at 08:55 PM

Ya, how about a little weather report? Did you get rain, is it cold etc.
Is the ocean to rough for fishing with the swell?
Clima en Asuncion
shari - 1-29-2008 at 09:44 AM
Yesterday was chilly but the swell was bigger and it is supposed to get bigger this week...yupie..(that's yippee in spanish) we only got a bit of rain
to make the flowers nicer. Today is partly sunny and cool this morning...nice swell and glassy. Water temps vary between 62-65. Here is a cool boogie
board manouver where they kneel and balance by dragging one hand in the water....I'm gonna try that one of these days!
shari - 1-29-2008 at 09:46 AM
the boogie boarders are so cool, they do 360's and kneel on the boards and do cool tricks

Maybe it's just me, but there's just something wrong with having to wear a wetsuit south of G.N.!
Might as well be in San Quintin!
Brrrrrrrrrr........shari - 1-29-2008 at 10:45 AM
woosies! This place is waaaaaayyyyyy nicer than San Quintin...safe, empty, clean, pristine, sweet kids....no comparison at all....and well worth the
drive.Von - 1-29-2008 at 02:12 PM
5xs further too... need 3 more days just to go surfing cannt afford the time off right now but would love to go there..shari - 1-29-2008 at 02:16 PM

Asunsion is not waaaaaayyyyyy nicer! It's only waaayyy nicer! Quit exagerating like you do with the size of the fish!
San Quintin has it's charms like being about 6 hours closer to the border. So when the fishing (or waves) is(are) good like last summer it's a quicker
trip.
But Asunsion is better. I still want a beachfront at San Hipto.
Do you still need a dingy?

ooops, I stand corrected or at least respect your opinion fishbuck...actually I think is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy nicer but that is IMHO. We just
picked up a beater dinghy a nice guy in Pta Chivato donated(thanks to the bloody bloody decks forum!!!)...Juan will have it looking like new in no
time. San Hipolito ROCKS but the north wind sucks this time of year. BTW....it blew santa anna wind here for a few hours today...yuck...dry and sandy.
But it's gorgeous now.fishbuck - 1-31-2008 at 06:37 PM
Okaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!! Good that Juan got the dingy. Anybody been out fishing?shari - 1-31-2008 at 06:47 PM
It has been kind of cold and crappy weather lately so no fishers out...actually very quiet around here these days, only a few canucks left.
