Superbowl in Baja

Osprey - 2-3-2008 at 08:55 AM

We can't get the Superbowl on TV down here in Southern Baja so I'll miss the game. I'm not complaining because we still have a little fun in the pool -- a few tunes, cold beer, no worries, good times.

Love the multi-plug outlet floating on the flip flops!

However
I will be watching the Super Bowl via antenna on Azteca 7! We wont get the cool commercials but we will be able to watch the game and practice our Spanish.

Thanks Bob.... Sounds perfect

Take the Points

MrBillM - 2-3-2008 at 12:16 PM

My strategy is to ALWAYS take the points if the margin is 10 or more unless it will clearly be a Blowout.

In this case the spread is 13-14 points. I bet (not much) last week at 14. I'll probably tune in for the last few minutes of the first half and do the same for the second.

It's the only thing that makes it interesting when there are two Eastern Blue-State opponents. I wouldn't really care which wins other than it would be nice to see Miami unseated as solo unbeaten.

DENNIS - 2-3-2008 at 01:29 PM

Points or not, they have to happy they arn't playing in Punta Banda. This weather is nasty cold windy and wet.

CaboRon - 2-3-2008 at 02:13 PM

Looks as if there are four choices on www.channelsurfing.net 'guess I'll fire it up and hope to see the superbowl.

Royalty sucks.

Quote from mr bill,

I'm glad to see, however, that Marv has the wisdom to accept New England as the ONLY record holder IF they should win the Super Bowl. No Whining and no nitpicking. GOOD.

i guess i wont need that wisdom !!:lol::lol:
1972 miami dolphins, the ONLY team with a perfect season !

No Hay Problema, Marv

MrBillM - 2-4-2008 at 10:28 AM

Winning was GOOD Enough. The other would have simply been an added treat.

Like I said, ALWAYS take the points at 10 or above. You'll win more often than losing. I did once again.

As I said, other than the Miami thing (and that's minor), I didn't give a crap which of these teams won. I rarely do. I had said that I would probably watch the last two minutes of each half. As it turned out, I watched 37 seconds of the first and 2:46 of the final. It was enough. I did switch to the game earlier, but each time there was a commercial so I would switch back to "Invincible" on one of the movie channels.

The best team won. Good for them. They made me money, but not much.
