Hey EGL

Where were those pictures taken? I'm guessing Bahia Asuncion or Tortugas.

Zac, you mention two places I have yet had the good fortune to visit as yet.

My lovely and talented wife Barbara took those photos way north of there.
Guess again?

To qoute the master of understatement, Ed McMahon "That is CORRECT,Sir!"

Funny story (at least to me) We left San Quintin Sunday morning the 21st of March and headed south. We stopped for fuel at the Pemex in El Rosario and by the time I pulled out back into traffic there were about 10 vehicles stopped in the middle of the roadway. My first thought was that there was a roadblock and I was trying to remember the story Paulina had told/written some years back about how she blasted across the riverbed and got past the roadblock that had been put up by the locals to protest something or other.
The wife went down to the corner to investigate and came running back and grabbed the Polaroid and the SLR and told me " parade!!!" After she used up and gave away all the polaroids she started snapping with the SLR. Before we headed south Barb (my wife) went in and asked Mama Espinosa for her address so we could send her the photos to distribute/show/whatever. I have convinced the wife that we should take them down soon and she said "Cool we just have to time it so the tide is low so I can dig clams at CL and of course throw them back because we all know it is illegal for gringos to harvest clams in Baja":saint:

This week we are going to purchase a photo printer so we can print many copies of all the photos we took.

This was the second time we have stumbled into a parade. The first was the Mardi Gras parade in Loreto 4 or 5 years ago. We pulled into town and the road was blocked and we ended up jumping out and chasing the parade thru town. We had the polaroid then and Barb took photos and gave them away. I got a lot of shots with the SLR. Great fun for all!!!

great pictures!

we were in Bahia de los Angeles on the first day of spring. the kids were all dressed up as insects and animals. then there was the king and queen of spring all dressed up who were driven down main street in the back of a truck with the ballon arch. all the other dressed up kids followed. it was pretty fun! :bounce:
