Advice? Pacific locations west of La Purisima

One of the dual sport rides we're planning for next month will be from San Nicolas' over to La Purisima with the idea of going "sea to shining sea". What would be a good destination for an overnighter (camping) on the coast west of L P? Thanks!

You could go on out to San Juanico and camp at scorpion bay. www.scorpionbay.net They charge but have bathrooms and showers. They even have palapas that you can rent with beds in them. A nother place is to just head south or north from there and camp in the small dunes. There is a fish camp south of there tat has some nice people at it that you could stay at. We have camped at all these spots. You can also get gas at antonios in town.
Have a great time. Mick

We like to camp in the small sand dunes on the beach at San Juanico Bay, near the old boat shaped lilke a whale. Just the place to get swept away by a tsunami.

We found a great site last summer on the way to San Juanico from La Purisima. About 6 miles north on the route to San Juanico, you'll find a road headed west to San Gregorio. It follows the river and will lead you to the fishing villages, one on each side of the river. Stay on the north side and head past the village. You will find a few awesome camp sites there. The vigilancia pointed the sites out to us after we helped them fix a flat tire.

Anyways, our one night stay-over ended up being 4 days.

Enjoy!

VAg. Bajaboy has the Place!
Maney times I have been to San G. Even took my 84 years old for a 5 Day Trip.
At that time met with Kiko and his Brothers and helped them run their Lobster Traps, went home with 105 Lobsters on Ice!!

Also that is the Location where I brought in 2 Dolphins that took baitfish from my Hand. You could stand at the entrance and catch a Pick up Load of Corvina.

I even have the Whale Bones from a Whale that beached and Died on the South Side of the Estury. We were there when it "Exploded", later went back an got some bones and sneeked them across the Border.

To me that is one , if not the best spots in all of the Pacific.

That is also where I watched the Fisherman bring in over 30 good sized Turtles, kill them and take the Meat to La Paz. the next time I went the Shells where still on the Beech, sticking up in the Sand.

A very Special Place for me!!

Go there and have a Great Time.

Thanks to all. Sounds like San Gregorio would be a fine over-nighter. We'll be traveling light. (as light as you can on a 400 lb. dual sport!
