More Flowers

We found these in the desert near our dump---they are so very different from the ones in our dunes and they are just a few miles inland. Just love the flowers this year

Mesquite Oasis

The flowers

Close up of this delicate beauty with a shadow of a suspicious looking leaf.:lol:

Searching the Arroyo

Bouquet found in the arroyo

Nature hiding the worm---do you see it??

The tissue paper flower

The end of the cycle

The cotton looking flowers

Looking outside the arroyo

The delicate fringe daisy

The tiny survivors

So small growing out of the gravel

And there were more! Many cannot be seen from the road---one has to wander around.

fabulous flower tour, gracias...my favorites are the fairy duster and the cottony looking one! I wonder if our allegies will start acting up when they all start blowing their pollen around?

Beautiful gorgeous wonderful flores, Diane.... thank you so very much.

And shari.... if you're not sneezy now, you're safe. Those pollens have been all around you for some time now. Have your nose say thank you to the Pacific breeze.;D

Nice array of flower photos! I see the worm... looks like a stem, sorta.... thanks for posting these. Lots of flowers are appearing everywhere here in San Diego! The hillsides are all turning so green! Today you could clearly see the Palomar Mountain range from the Miramar area, traveling Northbound on the 163.

Beautiful flowers--the one at the top is a new one to me--some kind of poppy?

Diane - Looks like you, hubby and dogs are in a little bit of heaven right now.

San Diego is Ireland. Freeway wildflowers just starting to pop. Can't wait for Anza-Borrego explosion in a couple of weeks.

Life is good. Thanks for the photos.

It looks like a type of poppy---don't know what kind. They were just thick around the Mesquite trees. We know that the soil around there is very good and different---it is what everyone in town uses in their gardens.

DavidT---you would have to come to the house to find the bottle. :P

Thanks for the nice comments. As a side note, at the Antelope preserve they were marking off an area to study because with the heavy rains this year they expected to see some plants that have not appeared for many, many years.
