Can anyone give me recent info concerning the cut-off road between Valle De Trinidad going to Hwy 1 ? We are heading that way on Tuesday of next week
so could use some good up-dates?

Passable with 2wd and reasonable clearance (as of 11/07), but very slow and a little hairy if passing a truck on a switchback. If going from Hwy 1 to
V. Trinidad, be sure to follow the older, rutted, more southerly fork past the "Peor es Nada" store. Don't be fooled by the smoother, well graded
northerly fork. I's eventually a dead end.
