Just north of El Rosario, I went to a restaurant under construction right on the cliffs last year. There was a huge hole behind the restaurant, looked
kinda scary. I guess you could buy seafood there also...when it opens. I heard that after years of construction it's now open. My question, has
anyone checked it out? I only heard it was open when I was leaving El Socorro early this week. Really dusty ride to the coast from Mex 1, but the view
from the coast is worth the dust.
Pics. of the hole behind the restaurant if it helps.
Looking down the hole to a hidden beach.
LA LOBERA

>>> The unmarked good road leaves Hwy. 1 at Km. 47.5
(6 miles north of El Rosario's Pemex station), and goes 3 miles to the parking area next to the rope-fence surrounded 'crater'.
Ignore the private property/ keep out (in Spanish) signs, half way in. Just follow the power line from Hwy. 1.
That's La Lobera, the sea lion crater... Do a search on Nomad and see lot's of photos of it and the 'future' restaurant. We heard many time that it
would open soon... that was 3 years ago to November, '06 when we were there last... http://vivabaja.com/1106

Here's a web page I made showing La Lobera after we first went there in 2005: http://vivabaja.com/505/page4.html

I first went there in August of 05. dusty ride for sure. Unmarked right onto a Very dusty road noth of El Rosario. Looks like good fishing there in
front of the building. That hole is a little scary when you are standing at the edge!
