I tried baking Carne Asada and it came out delicious. We have a meat market near by that sells great cuts of meat and one is a marinaded carne asada
with onions and spices with a lemon and orange flavor to it.
I preheated the oven to 450 degrees and cooked 2 pounds in a dish with 1 juice glass of water and covered with alunimun foil for 1 hr. It came out
great. The meat was not too tender ( it doesn't fall apart when picked up) or too tough (chewy as they say), I think just right.

TW,
Forgive mi ignorance, why would you want to bake instead of broil?

I baked it to see how it would turn out. I have found that most beef when broiled, fried or grilled usually ends up on the tough side unless your good
at doing it. A great cook can make most anything taste great. Unfortunately I'm still in the experimental phase of cooking.

Thanks for the response, but you know one thing? if your baking it it no longer can be called Carne ASADA, because asada means broiled, so its now
Carne Horneada.
