I was just about ready to send my sonar unit in for repair as I could not power it up, even though I was gettting 13 volts at the power plug, when I
remembered I had a can of Deoxit Gold in the shop. Sure enough, one quick spray on both leads and the unit powered up. 
At $20 a pop it's not cheap but I think I'll get one for the boat. Here's a
