Bahia Tortugas Information?

bent-rim - 3-6-2008 at 11:36 AM

I'm planning a spring baja off road trip on dirt bikes with some friends and I'd like to check out/have a day off in Bahia Tortugas. There's not much fresh information on the WEB, I've checked out what's on this site(great pictures jdtrotter, we'll detour to San Pablo) and there isn't much information out there. I'd like to find out about accomodations, food, tequilla and things to check out.

tequilla(sic)? I'd go with the Don Julio Anejo

Have you used Nomad Search? : http://forums.bajanomad.com/misc.php?action=search (it's at the top of each page here on Nomad).

Just put in a subject or an author, or both if you want to narrow the search down.

Mike Humfreville wrote a wonderful trip report and here is the link to the chapter on Tortugas: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=18477

Another Nomad who is well versed on the area is 'cristobal'...

there is a fantastic guy in Tortugas who can help you with logisitics, his name is Benitos and his phone # is 615-158-0118 and his email is jabes_@hotmail.com dont' know if there is a .mx at the end...I haven't been able to get a response via email but phone works fine...good man and remember to tip him if he helps you out...even though he'll probably refuse...stick it in his pocket!
