Our experience: Last week we went to the neighborhood post office on a Monday for a renewal, passport arrived on the following Tues. The Passport people have finally gotten up to speed. Joanna

I paid cash for mine in San Diego at the CM Postal Center around the same time. Did you pay the extra $60 to speed up there process?

elgatoloco--

Reassuring! This is all useful information. I happen to live in SD and my passport expires in July--I've been concerned about the waiting period for a replacement. thanks.

We did NOT pay any extra fees or express mail charges for this renewel of a long lost passport.
We were turly amazed, Joanna

I did not pay extra and in fact got the renewal for $67.00 because I had downloaded and printed the application prior to the increase.

That photo was taken at Victoria Falls in June 2001. It is one of my favorites.
