ATV intro riding in Rosarito to Ensenada area?

bajabound2005 - 3-24-2008 at 07:07 PM

I think it's pretty much illegal on the beach since that is the Federal Zone, and lots of endangered critters and creatures living in and around the dunes....but if you do it anyway, please go to Rosarito and stay away from our little bit of paradise.

Pull off the toll road at 'Cantamar' south of Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo... go along the free road south to some big sand dunes next to the highway. As I don't do that sort of thing (anymore), I am not sure if they have rentals or you bring your own.

Cantamar has a Pemex station and good taco stand near it reported here. Ask about renting of Quads there.

Maybe you should get them saddeled up and let them do high speed laps around that nasty church that excommunicated your wife.

ATV's on beach

I too have teens that ask to ride ATV's on the beach....I just tell them no!! Too many beaches have been ruined around Baja by cars & atv's on the beach. There are many other fun activities to do while being on the beach that are not so damaging to the environment. Maybe they could learn to surf?

Every high tide, the power of the sea erases tire track and the deeper human foot prints... Every strong wind wipes the dunes clean and even is responsible for moving them! Is the ocean and air really that enviromentally dangerous as they sure outpower any marks humans leave? :light:;D

I have seen ATV rentals in Ensanada on the road along the harbor.Take the boys down there and find a rental place and let them go have a ball. I took my kids on an ATV ride in Cabo a few years ago. The ride had a Guide that took us through town and then on some back roads then ,O no on the BEACH to ride the dunes and along the water. We all had a ball and did not hurt anything in the process.

Yes, you can rent and ride just south of Cantamar on the dunes, and the taco stand next to the Pemex station on the north end of town "Tacos Cantamar", is great...(and cheap)
