Yep. I was just gonna say that.

Twas real confusing when we just drove home. Baja Sur instead of being the same as the US Mountain Time was the same as Pacific US daylight savings Time, northern Baja was Mexican Standard Pacific Time, so different than San Diego time -------we just quit trying to figure out what time it was.:lol::lol:

It was as confusing as driving through Arizonia and the Navajo and Hopi nations or the state of Indiana in the summer. Then again, we are easily confused these days.

But as answered the daylight savings time for Mexico begins April 6.

just to clarify. the entire world, all countries that go on daylight saving time, initiate it on the first sunday in april. as we used to in the good ol' usa until some legislators decided we could save energy by going early and getting out late. the rest of the world will return to standard time the last sunday in october, but los estados unidos will do it a couple of weeks later.

in addition to not saving any energy, this move shows the utter arrogance of the u.s. among the world's countries imho.

And can you point to some documentation that it doesn't save energy?

Bob and Susan - 3-27-2008 at 06:24 PM

the time change is for the children who go to school

they need to go to school in the light:saint::saint:

energy has NOTHING to do with it

Hi Bob, it started out that way

Keri - 3-27-2008 at 06:57 PM

but this new time we are on ( The extra couple of weeks on both ends)was directly designed to save energy. And I also read and heard on the news that it wasn't having the energy saving effect they had hoped for. I hope they go back to the way it was so we are on the same time as everyone else. I wear a watch for baja time and left my computer and TV on US time. It is a pain in the you know what,k:rolleyes:

bajalou - 3-27-2008 at 07:12 PM

US never was on the same time change schedule as Europe Union.

Time changes all the time, every second, everywhere.

Lauriboats - 3-27-2008 at 07:18 PM

The battery on my watch went dead a few weeks ago. I have always had a watch on my arm as long as I can remember. Since I haven't been able to replace the battery, I feel that I am finally on Baja time. I love being retired, life is good! Time change? Whatever.
