Attended the world premier of “Chasing Baja” It is a new film about the 2007, 40th Anniversary, SCORE /Tecate Baja 1000 Race last week. Follows the
BC Challenge Support Crew and Race Team, as well as the logistics behind the BF Goodrich Pit Crew with some “Baja Tire History” thrown in as well. A
very good account about what goes into staging (as Parnelli Jones stated), “a 24 hour plane crash”. From the Pre-Run account to the jitters on race
day by everyone, to the “just get-it-to-the-finish line” determination by everyone involved, this film is finally for us who love not only the Baja
1000, but captures what “The Baja” represents.

While different than the epic, “Dust to Glory”, this is more of a documentary that goes more in-depth of what it takes to get ready for the race
itself with a more focused view on one team. It is also nice that it captures the entire peninsula race with all the twist and turns and dogged
determination of everyone involved with Crew, Staff, Volunteers, Behind-the-Scene workers…everyone gets recognized in the film (which is a nice
touch).

Scheduled to be shown April 18th on the Speed Channel. I do not have the time.
For those of us who love Baja, this is another great movie on our special place. Music, Photography, Narration and story is all good. Produced by Bud
Brutsman, CEO Brentwood Communications International.
“Chasing Baja” will be a wonderful addition to everyone’s DVD collection when it is available!

Thanks Juan.
My cable co. changed the channel tiers and speed is on another pay block requiring a set top box which I'm too cheap to pay for. I hope the DVD comes
out soon.
