Hey solar experts, what do you think of the following deal offered by a professional friend who finally got on the grid and wants to sell the whole
package. I'd have to import the used equipment to Baja from southern california.
1. 8 ? Arco M-52 Tri-lams (24panels) watts 7 amps 300.00 ea 2400.00
2. 12 - Kyocera 100 watt 3 amps 100.00 ea 1200.00
3. 1- Prostar 30 amp solar charge controller 150.00 150.00
4. 1- IBE 240 ? 24 volt 120 amp battery charger 800.00 800.00
5. 1- Photocom 2450 5000 watt 24 volt inverter 2000.00 2000.00
6. 12- L16 6volt batteries
7. 48- IBE 2 volt batteries (and 5 spares)
8. Battery interconnects
9. Solar interconnects
total for all $6,500 a fair price?
How do you know if batteries have enough life to make it worth hauling them 1,100 miles?

Call this place in Victorville CA
http://www.partsonsale.com/
Good prices....
These guys run a solar expo at the Pomona CA Fairgroungs each year.
I'd have to say your friends stuff is a little expensive for old stuff but ...I'm no expert
I would pay a little more for new.

I would say it sounds expensive also
this seems fliped around an a bit mixed up eh:
1. 8 ? Arco M-52 Tri-lams (24panels) watts 7 amps 300.00 ea 2400.00
2. 12 - Kyocera 100 watt 3 amps 100.00 ea 1200.00
check out www.mrsolar.com also.
How old is the stuff
you should offer 30-40% off new for the panels and 50-60% off new for the rest.
if the L-16's are more than 4-6 years old I would pass.
