Valle las Palmas to Popotla OFF-ROAD

Greetings All,

This is a short notice of a one day OFF-ROAD trek south of the city of Tecate, Baja California. Run to start at 9:00 AM Saturday April 4 proceeding S. on M-3 to Valle las Palmas and on to a 4- wheel drive trail winding all the way to the Pacific Ocean ending below Popotla. This route is very scenic with beautiful green valley vistas, flowers, historical interest and photo opportunities.

Meeting place is at the gas station in N. Tecate, U.S.A.

Meeting time is 0900 hrs. Sat. April 5,2008.

4 WHEEL DRIVE is required.

Return (optional) is same day thur Tecate.

Three years ago, we had the pleasure of joing Squarecircle's off road caravan through this area... I highly recommend anyone with four wheel drive to join Roy!

you guys should come down the canyon to the Nomads-4-Ninos golf tournament at the Baja Country Club....and take part in the festivities and food!!!!!...........

Looks like a great trip. I'll be between Mexicali and San Felipe pitting and chasing Tunaeater on Sat. otherwise I'd love to be on this trip. Have fun.

What approx. time do you estimate you would arrive at Mex 1 (Popotla)? Sounds like a great day.

Ken, we had plenty of daylight still when we popped out on the coast near Cantamar in April, 2005... We went to La Fonda for dinner after a visit with Keri at the Pyramid Resort... all in daylight.

We began with a nice breakfast at Casa Vieja in Tecate, and there was no rushing at all... plenty of time for photos, check out the old Gilbert Ranch graves, four wheeling up some grades and through some rivers...
