We are crossing over from San Diego Sunday early AM. I have read through many posts that state some crossings have banks open 24/7 while others do
not. Which crossing has a 24/7 bank so we can pick up our FMT cards? If one crossing is easier than another to get through, I would appreciate that
info as well.

As of last month...Tecate DOES NOT. We crossed on a Saturday and my two travel companions had zero Pesos. They were forced to take the ~7% surcharge
of paying in dollars at 10 to 1 until we got to an open bank.
I don't know if this relates to your question, but with a B of A account you can order Pesos on line and they will be
Fed-Xed to your branch for pick-up. It takes a couple of days, and at a nice rate of exchange. We once bought Pesos across the counter from the B of
A in San Isidro, but then I believe the bank is 24/7 at the San Isidro POE.
I recommend Tecate for a lot of reasons posted here before. Zero cars ahead of us southbound, and TWO ahead on the return. (3-26-08 7:30 PM)

Tijuana has a 24/7 teller and 24/7 INM office... park in the secondary "something to declare" area... the offices face the parking lot... INM is on
the far right (north) and the bank teller for paying the FM-T tax (for over 7 days in Mexico, up to 180 days) is about 6 doors down, just past the
regular bank window for money exchange. If very late and you don't see anyone, walk through the hall leading to the pedestrian entrance into Mexico
and the same officials may be there.

Back to "buying peso's" at B of A, we have bought them there a couple of times here in Oregon but the service charge is outrageous we found it's a
much better deal to go to costco in Chula Vista.

I second Bajaguy's motion; many ATMs and the exchange rate it very good. TALK TO YOUR BANK BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Find out what banks ATMs you can use w/o
charge...and to avoid a hold on your ATM card when you go to use it; tell them you'll be in Mexico!

Use the ATM's inside the Commercial Mexicana market in Ensenada by the COSTCO. Various banks have ATM's there, and you can top off your Pacifico
supply.
I think BofA's partner bank is Santander.

David K had the answer I was hoping for. Last thing I wanted was to pick a crossing and find out the bank is closed on Sunday.
