our adobe house is progressing but we are to the stage where we are having to get our in floor hydronic system installed. Our builders (Pai Pai
construciones) have never done one of these. The company we are buying the system from is Radientec (the most recommended company) and they have great
in depth guides BUT none of them are in Spanish so we will have to do that....
Wondering if any nomads know of someone in Baja Norte with experience with this type of system who could consullt with our builders?
thanks

Mike...
Why are you getting so exotic with a floor heating system?
Where are you building? Isn't Pai Pai one of the indian tribes ouy Ojos Negros way?astrobaja - 4-2-2008 at 01:11 PM
Dennis
We get pretty cold here at night since we're at 5000' right on the edge of San Pedro Martir park. We will also have a woodstove/fireplace but the 6
flat plate passive solar collectors should provide all our heating plus hot water. We are trying to be as off-grid and independent as possible!
Yep the Pai Pai guys are starting up a construction business featuring adobe blocks that are handmade. I'll post pics as construction progresses,
adobe start getting trucked in hopefully next week.

Thanks Mike..... Is that up by Hanson? It's easier for me to ask than getting out the maps.
Anyway, at 5000 feet in the snow, you need all the heat you can put together. Do you mind my asking how you decided on your location. I'm guessing
it's the clear atmosphere.astrobaja - 4-2-2008 at 02:00 PM
No its not near Laguna Hanson, its south of Ensenada at km 143, then its inland 67km, 16 km furthur up the road from Meling Ranch.
Yeah the skies here are as close to perfect for astronomy as you can get!
Thats why the observatorio is one of the 3 candidates for the worlds largest telescope project. http://www.tmt.org/
